Leyland’s fantastic ‘Brass Attack’ series makes a festive bow, with a concert featuring junior and school bands, Lostock Hall Memorial Band, all rounded off with a fabulous set from Lancashire’s finest, Leyland. The ‘Brass Attack’ series is an established summer highlight organised by Leyland’s fantastic flugel player John Doyle. Leyland Band take great pride in working within the local community and Brass Attack. Bringing players of all ages and abilities together in one wonderful evening of music is already a summer hit, and we are sure this first Christmas offering will be equally exciting. The junior and school bands performing in the concert is the most apt musical gift at this festive time of year. With natural childhood enthusiasm, Christmas holds a special place for children, and Leyland are delighted to welcome them to tonight’s concert. Lostock Hall Memorial Band also holds a special place in the development of many Leyland players. Four Leyland players either began their musical education with the band, or were members of Lostock Hall. So, it’s always great to get together. We are all looking forward to an unforgettable Christmas concert. What better way to beat the winter blues than with a fantastic New Year’s concert? Come along to St. Andrew’s Church in Leyland for the band’s first outing of 2017 and a great evening’s entertainment!
